Auto Rewards Terms and Conditions – October 2018
Auto Rewards is made available to you by Qantas in accordance with these Terms and Conditions as an optional Award under the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. The Qantas Frequent Flyer Program Terms and Conditions apply to this Award except as otherwise stated in these Auto Rewards Terms and Conditions (Terms and Conditions).
1. Signing up
You may sign up to Auto Rewards at any time online by qantas.com/autorewards or by telephoning the Frequent Flyer Service Centre (or any other telephone centre specified from time to time by Qantas). Signing up by telephone will incur a service fee (the "Auto Rewards Service Fee") described on qantas.com/terms. When signing up, you will need to provide your Email Address.
2. What Auto Rewards provides you
If as at 1 February, 1 May, 1 August, or 1 November in any year you have not unsubscribed from Auto Rewards (each a "Trigger Date"), Qantas will, within 5 business days of that Trigger Date (“Deduction Date”):
(a) deduct from your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account the number of Qantas Points as described in column (2) of the Auto Rewards Table below, based on your points balance on the Deduction Date as described in column (1) of the Auto Rewards Table below; and
(b) send to your Email Address a Gift Card (details below) for the value corresponding to the number of Qantas Points successfully deducted from your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account as set out in the Auto Rewards Table below

If, on the Deduction Date:
(i) your points balance is less than the minimum number of Qantas Points required for Auto Rewards Gift Cards (currently 750 Qantas Points); or
(ii) you have not specified a valid Australian Mailing Address; or
(iii) you have not specified a valid Email Address;
then Qantas will not deduct any Qantas Points from your account and you will not receive a Gift Card for that Deduction Date.
3. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
By signing up to Auto Rewards or obtaining any Gift Card issued under these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions.
4. Your Details
You cannot participate in Auto Rewards (or receive any Gift Card) unless you have specified an Australian Mailing Address and Email Address at all relevant times. You are responsible for ensuring that your Australian Mailing Address and/ or Email Address are accurate and current at all times. Qantas will not be liable for gift cards not received or for any loss incurred by you because your Email Address and/or Australian Mailing Address are incorrect.
If you have signed up to receive Auto Rewards, Gift Cards will be sent to you pursuant to Clause 2 of these Terms and Conditions.
5. General Gift Card Conditions
Woolworths Group Ltd ABN 88 000 014 675 is the issuer of the Woolworths WISH eGift Card (the 'Gift Card'), but is not the promoter of the offer, nor responsible for fulfilment of the offer terms. Woolworths WISH Gift Cards have no expiry date and are redeemable at participating stores only. You may use this Gift Card to purchase goods and services from participating Australian Woolworths Group stores listed at woolworths.com.au/giftcards. Participating stores may change from time to time without notice.
Gift Card Expiry: Gift Cards must be used by the expiry date specified on the Gift Card.
Lost, Stolen, Damaged or Redeemed Gift Cards: Except as required by law, neither Woolworths nor Qantas will replace lost, stolen or damaged Gift Cards or any Gift Card that has been tampered with. A Gift Card cannot be refunded or exchanged once the Gift Card has been redeemed.
If you have not received the Gift Card for which Qantas Points have been deducted from your Qantas Frequent Flyer account, by the estimated arrival date specified below, you may contact the Frequent Flyer Contact Centre who will assist you in investigating the delivery delay. Any applicable delivery charges are included in the points redeemed. Title and risk in Gift Cards passes to you upon delivery.
Your Gift Card will be sent to your Email Address. Qantas will endeavour to deliver Gift Cards within 10 days of the applicable Deduction Date, but Qantas does not accept any liability for a failure to deliver within that time period.
7. Returned Gift Cards
You are responsible for updating your Email Address. Qantas will not be liable for Gift Cards not received by you or for any loss incurred by you because your Email Address is incorrect. If you have signed up to receive Auto Rewards, Gift Cards will be sent to you pursuant to these Terms and Conditions.
8. Receipts and Tax
(a) Qantas will not provide you with a tax invoice or receipt for this redemption. The redemption transaction will be recorded in your monthly statement.
(b) Members are responsible for any costs, charges, taxes, claims or other liabilities (including any applicable fringe benefits tax) arising from receipt of benefits under this Award option. Members are advised to check with their accountant or tax adviser for further information on any tax implications arising from this redemption option.
Qantas reserves the right to suspend or terminate Auto Rewards in its absolute discretion at any time, without giving notice to you. You will not be entitled to any benefit(s) provided under Auto Rewards from the date you have been suspended or terminated from Auto Rewards.
These Terms and Conditions are effective as at 15 October 2018 and may be amended by Qantas (including the points required to be redeemed for a Gift Card) from time to time without giving notice to you. The current version of these Terms and Conditions is the version provided on this page. If you are signed up to this Award on the date that any change to these Terms and Conditions are amended, Qantas will notify you through your Email Address or Australian Mailing Address of any material change to these Terms and Conditions that is likely to disadvantage you no later than 14 days before the next Deduction Date.
11. Unsubscribing from Auto Rewards
(a) You may unsubscribe from Auto Rewards at any time online at qantas.com/autorewards or by telephoning the Frequent Flyer Service Centre (or any other telephone centre specified from time to time by Qantas). Unsubscribing from Auto Rewards by telephone will incur the Auto Rewards Service Fee.
(b) You will not receive Auto Rewards and Qantas may cancel any Gift Cards that have been sent to you at any time if:
(i) Qantas determines that it is unlikely any Gift Cards will be received by you at the specified Email Address and/ or Australian Mailing Address;
(ii) Qantas determines that you are misusing or abusing Auto Rewards or any Gift Card sent to you, or you are, in Qantas’ reasonable opinion, attempting to do so;
(iii) Qantas has a reasonable suspicion of dishonesty in connection with Auto Rewards or a Gift Card; or
(iv) you do anything which breaches these Terms and Conditions.
12. Your privacy
Members' personal information is dealt with in accordance with the Qantas Frequent Flyer program terms and conditions and the Qantas Privacy Statement.
(a) Qantas acknowledges that the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW)and other equivalent legislation implies or imposes statutory guarantees, conditions or warranties into contracts for the supply of goods or services to consumers that cannot be excluded (Non Excludable Terms).
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions (including the exclusions and limitations in this clause 13 is intended to exclude or restrict the application of Non Excludable Terms. Other than the Non Excludable Terms, Qantas excludes all implied terms in relation to this Award.
(b) Subject to clause 13(a), Qantas is not liable to Members or any other person for any loss or claim of any kind in connection with this Award, a Gift Card or any product obtained with it, except to the extent caused directly by the negligence or willful misconduct of Qantas.
14. Other terms
In these Terms and Conditions:
(a) all monetary amounts are in Australian dollars (AUD);
(b) any capitalised terms have the meanings given to them in the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program Terms and Conditions except for the following:
Email Address means the email address recorded at qantaspoints.com/yourprofile (Your Profile) which is complete, accurate, current, available to you and operational.
Australian Mailing Address means the physical postal address within Australia specified at qantas.com/youraccount which is complete, accurate, current and operational.
Gift Card means a Woolworths WISH eGift Card that is sent to the Email Address.
